Why did you change the name of the organization?

There are numerous reasons for the change. Previously, if someone typed Christian apologetics or simply apologetics in their search engine, The Apologetics Group website would not appear in the results until page twenty. Unless the exact name was inserted, it was difficult to find us.

Why did you choose the name The Nicene Council?

In our research, we found that 30,000 people daily type Nicene Council or some variation in their search engines so we will have greater exposure because of this. We were also able to purchase a premium domain name, www.nicenecouncil.com, and are currently in the process of transferring everything over to that site. It should be available by June 15, 2007. Also, we focus on more subjects than simply apologetics so the new name better reflects our mission and vision.

How does the new name better reflect your mission and vision?

The Nicene Council met in A.D. 325. The purpose of the council was to resolve disagreements in the Church of Alexandria over the nature of Jesus and His relationship to the Father, particularly whether Jesus was of the same substance as God the Father or merely of similar substance and therefore a lesser god. So, the champions of orthodoxy at Nicea in answering the question "is the deity of Christ an essential aspect of saving faith" not only employed apologetics, but theology, philosophy, harmartology, final authority and practical application.

Will Amazing Grace: The History & Theology of Calvinism and The Marks of a Cult DVDs and the other 200 titles currently in the webstore still be available for purchase on the new website?

Absolutely! Both titles will be available along with the corresponding Study Guides. In fact, we are continually seeking out and making available new products, both books and DVDs.

Do you still plan to produce documentaries like the one on dispensationalism?

Yes. In fact, we are getting closer to releasing this title, but because it is such a huge undertaking it will take some time. Lord willing it should be completed this calendar year.

Is there anything you would like to add?

We just want to give thanks to God for the opportunities He has given us. We also want to thank everyone who has purchased items in the past for their continued support and prayers. We also want to let them know that they can continue to expect great things as we move forward.
